The Implementation Method of the Control System for Tap Switching of a Power Adjustment Transformer with a Semiconductor Switch

Abstract

The article presents the results of the development and prototyping of a semiconductor switch control system based on thyristors with anti-parallel connection. As a result of the work done, the general criteria and requirements for the speed capability and reliability of the multichannel control formation for the switch valves were determined, ensuring trouble-free switching of the adjusting taps of the power transformer at the natural switching points. The article proposes an algorithm for controlling switch gates with feedback based on monitoring the point of current direction change in the thyristor switch circuit. The structure of the control system hardware is presented, functional modules are considered, as well as features of the implementation of the principles of the switching signals formation in phase modules on programmable logic devices.
