Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is prominent for the future in many ways. WSN has been enabled and deployed across many smart sensors. To deploy WSN in various domains, it is important to make hold of challenges. In this literature survey, we give an account of WSN and their application criteria and the data aggregation challenges that has to be tackled to enable the use of technology in greater extent. We also review the recent technologies. So far, none of the survey papers has listed the issues concerned with the deployment of the WSN and the data aggregation paradigms. We discuss about the potential constraint and provide with comprehensive study on dataaggregation.
