Both production and consumption of data has increased day-by-day and as a result privacy preservation become a major concern. Various data mining method are used to extract useful knowledge for various marketing, medical analysis but at same time maintaining privacy for the data is also important as to ensure security of the sensitive data. As a result of it privacy become major key issue in data mining process and lead to development of Privacy Preservation Data Mining (PPDM). Various method in order to preserve privacy are anonymization, k-anonymity, generalisation etc. are used to ensure the preservation of confidential and sensitive data of any individual. These techniques helps in achieving privacy preservation along with trade-off for the utility purposes.
