One of most important ability of Human visual system is that it can identify relevant parts of image and discard the rest. Saliency detection is the process of identifying the relevant parts computationally similar to human visual system. Different from existing solutions which uses background cues, this work propose a objectiveness measure based foreground region estimation. From the foreground region estimation ROI (Region of Interest) is extracted using Fuzzy C Mean thresholding. The ROI extracted through this process were found to be more accurate and satisfying with well-defined boundaries and loss less texture information.
