Modern power systems are inclined to across the board disappointments. With the expansion in power demand, operation and arranging of substantial interconnected power framework are winding up plainly more perplexing, so power system will turn out to be less secure. Voltage instability is one of the marvels, which have result in a noteworthy power outage. In addition, with the quick improvement of rebuilding, the issue of voltage stability has turned into a noteworthy worry in deregulated power systems. In this work, for upgrading the voltage stability of the power transmission systems the FACTS devices is used. FACTS devices can manage the active and reactive power control and adaptive to voltage magnitude control all the while because of their adaptability and quick control attributes. Right now, two FACTS devices are used to evaluate the execution of the Firefly Optimization (FFO) algorithm with Gravitational Search Algorithm (GSA) are proposed, to be particular, the interline power flow controller (IPFC) and the unified power flow controller (UPFC). From the power stream examination, bus voltages, reactive power, active power, and power loss of the transmission structures are settled. In the result, the voltage stability is enhanced while satisfying a given course of action of working and physical prerequisites. Proposed algorithm is tried on IEEE 30 bus power system for optimal location and sizing of multi-type FACTS devices and results are displayed.
