Improved Parallel Interference Cancellation Scheme in MC-CDMA under Frequency Selective AWGN Channel

Abstract

From the past few years, the variant technologies of multi carrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) has gained the attention in providing the broadband services through wireless communication. MC-CDMA is a trusted technology where multiple users can communicate efficiently in wireless medium. The major issue need to be addressed in the MC-CDMA is multiple access interference (MAI) from different users. To overcome this, the efficient two stage parallel interference cancellation mechanism is proposed in this paper. In the first stage, the RAKE-PIC is introduced to estimates the users interference. In the second stage, MMSE-PIC is used to get the users desired data. The proposed method successfully restricts the MAI and improved the performance of the MC-CDMA.
