This study aims to identify stressors among university female academic staff. The study was carried out in two levels. First 148 teachers including all teaching positions: assistants, assistants' professors, associate professors, and full professors from different colleges in UoB. The participants answered a questionnaire that measured the degree of the workplace stress and five groups of work stressors: workload, interpersonal relationships at work (colleagues, administrative staff, and students), status and career development, and work-life balance. Women reported greater stress than men. Assistants reported greater stress than full professors concerning both the conditions of work and the interpersonal relationships. Second, 18 women academics were interviewed. A semi-directive interview explored the women university staff perception of the workplace stressors.
