The Role of Knowledge Management in the Development of the Intellectual Capital an Analytical Study of the perspectives of a Sample of Lecturers in University of Karbala

Abstract

This research talks about the role of knowledge management in the development of intellectual capital. The developed societies do not achieve their progress except through their dependence on thinkers, innovators and productive minds. Because of rapid progress that happened in information technology and innovations, the human experience becomes as a feature of success and development, in order to achieve a high degree of competitive excellence through the exploitation of the greatest supplier within the institutions which is a human resource. So this paper of research focuses on the role of knowledge management in the development of intellectual capital through the trend of business enterprises to pay attention to their human resources as well as institutions of higher education. As these institutions are located in a knowledge-based society, so both institutions are knowledge-exporting and, at the same time, knowledge-based. The goals of this research based on a main hypothesis and also a subsidiary. The research sought to achieve a number of objectives based on a basic hypothesis and a subsidiary. The questionnaire is used as a tool for collecting data and information related to the sample of the research. It is distributed to a sample of (30) persons which included the teaching staff at the university, and for processing the data, many statistical methods were used such as (PEARSON CORRELATION), (SIMPLE REGRESSION COEFFICIENT) and test (T) and (F) to confirm the models by using (SPSS 20) and (EXCEL).The statistical methods showed a number of results as a relationship between knowledge management and intellectual capital. During the discussion of the results, there was a great importance for the knowledge management and intellectual capital, which requires from the institution to pay attention with the concept of knowledge management because Of the impact in the development of intellectual capital.
