At present, the problem of improving the professionalism of teaching staff for higher education is certainly relevant. First of all, this is due to significant changes in the system of education in Kazakhstan. In modern conditions of constant changes in the content of education, the model of the graduate (as a consequence of changes in the social order of the state, society, parents), the teacher must be ready for continuous professional growth, freely navigate in their profession and in related fields. The article is devoted to the actual problem, the study of personal and professional self-development of the future teacher. The article considers the factors of professional and personal self-development of teachers; reveals the possibility of psychological support of the formation of pedagogical position. Support is interpreted as the help and support of the future teacher in the process of his professional and personal development.
