Comparison of Artificial Neural Network and Support Vector Machine for Deception Detection

Abstract

Lie detection, additionally called as deception detection makes use of questioning methods to confirm fact and falsehood in response. In this paper, elements of speech and bodily values are used to ascertain reality and lie. The Mel Frequency Cepstrum Coefficient, Energy, Zero Crossing Rate, Fundamental Frequency and body function of speech sign and physical values like Heart Beat, Blood Pressure and Respiratory Rate are used to model the linear detector model. The effects are validated by means of support vector machine and artificial neural network.
