OPTIMAL TUNING OF FOPI CONTROLLERS FOR DFIG BASED WIND ENERGY CONVERSION SYSTEMS

Abstract

The present paper proposes sculpting along with simulation of Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) based on wind energy conversion system(WECS). Two PWM pastors haven allied back to back with a dc link capacitor against the terminals of rotor towards the utility grid. As the dynamics effect of system can be controlled through vector control system by using PI controllers their attainment can be intensified by enumerating FOPI controllers that have three attune parameters (Kp, Ki and). This paper proposes excellently tuned FOPI controller’s architecture using Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO) and Ant Lion Optimization (ALO). Where PSO and ALO are idolized for attuning FOPI controllers. Of Grid Side Converter (GSC) and Rotor Side Converter (RSC). Due to which the dynamic performance of the DFIG at Flickering velocities can be enriched.
