Due to the globalization and tough competition in higher education in India especially engineering discipline are confronting great competition. They are confronted with variety of challenges posed by the business environment. These increased changes can have adverse impact on employees’ work life balance as well as organizational performance. Work life balance, perceived work interference with family, perceived family interference with work is becoming challenge for teachers as self finance engineering colleges are now becoming like a corporate world. The present study is intended to measure the impact of Work life balance, perceived work interference with family, perceived family interference with work on organizational commitment and performance and subsequently its impact on turnover intention. The study developed and tested a model of work life balance of teachers in self finance engineering colleges using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The model fit the data well and hypotheses are generally supported. Data is collected through Structured Questionnaire from 381 respondents. Data were analyzed through AMOS 20 version. The result revealed that negative relationship exist for perceived work interference with family and perceived family interference with work on organizational commitment. However significant relationship is found among work-life balance, performance, organizational commitment and turnover intention.
