Improved Convergence Rate with Modified Variant LMS Algorithms

Abstract

Now day‟s acoustic noise control plays important role in modern technologies to create noise free environment in desired area. Active noise cancellation technique is a new research area to reduce unwanted acoustic noises at low frequency with the help of adaptive filter algorithm. In this paper, addressed and analyzed problem of active noise control (ANC) using variant Least Mean Square (LMS) algorithms. To improve convergence rate, modified version of variant LMS algorithms is proposed, and the results are compared with conventional variant LMS algorithms and also it affects problems like sensitivity, drifting and excess mean square error. The proposed concept is applied to identification of system and noise cancellation applications against variant noise environment settings.
