Abstract

LPG can be considered alternative fuel in ignition engines that operate on gasoline because it contains most of the gasoline properties, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) environmentally friendly fuel, relatively low cost and abundant energy (thermal value). It is, therefore, an alternative to gasoline. A new carburetor was designed for an internal combustion engine (TD85) to become operate on either gasoline or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The LPG carburetor has specially designed to increase mixing performance and to get the best A/F using CFD modeling. To verify flow data, the within produced gas carburetor was carried out by ANSYS 16.0 simulation software for CFD modeling. Simulation results were compared with experiment, demonstrating a proper perspective of flow detail, and can be considered a new temple path for engineering design that helps to obtain acceptable mixing efficiencies.
