This investigation mainly deals with the heat transfer and flow characteristics of fluid flowing via internally grooved tubes. At first, test tubes comprises of one straight grooved tube, one smooth tube, four grooved tubes that possesses diverse pitches. The entire test tubes are made of 304 type stainless steel. The internal diameter and length of test tube were 7.1mm and 2mm correspondingly. Water was considered as working fluid, which is heated at DC power supply in constant heat flux circumstances. In general, test runs were carried out at fluid temperature of average 25o C, Reynolds number ranges from 3000 to 10,000 and heat flux of 3.5 kW/m2. Effect of grove pitch based on nozzle geometry pressure drop and heat transfer is also examined. The grooved tubes performance were discussed in terms of Nusselt number, Reynolds number and transfer characteristics of grooved tube with 203mm, 254mm and 305mm respectively and CDF geometric validation. As well, heat transfer based on local nusselt number is also examined.
