Abstract

A wireless sensor network (WSN) is a distribution of autonomous tiny sensors to monitor physical or Environmental conditions such as temperature, sound, pressure, etc. and to cooperatively pass their data through the network to a processing node, Sink. Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) are the emerging and challenging technology with low processing and battery power. In some applications sensors may present in an unattended environment due to this, WSNs are vulnerable to different types of attacks. So securing WSN becomes a major task. So much research is there focused only on detection of an Attack but not on locating malfunctioning nodes. In this paper a light weight method is proposed to find malfunctioning node which requires less energy in computations.
