Abstract

Main objective of this research work is to report the conditions and changes that have been taken place due to implementation of Vertically Integrated Electric Utility in the traditional power system structure. Also to discuss the summary of future challenges and the trends in power system operation and control. Power system load side industries are expected to divide in to non-concentrated industries, with every utility regain by its own into similar types of other new organization which concentrates on its branches, power distribution and retail distribution. The buzzing word deregulation is used to explain the changes in the general structure of power systems, but it is clear that changes involved are in regulations not in deregulation structure. Some of the nations are considering these changes as liberalisation in the electrical power system industry. We started out in this studied by reviewing the basic power system structure, operational objectives and the ways to achieve them.
