Present work objective is to assess the adoption of two alternative thermoplastic materials. The temperature mapping is carried out for Air Intake Manifold and Air duct to ensure that they withstand the temperature. As a part of Plastic Intake Manifold development, the temperature measurement of the Intake Manifold are carried out with Instrumented thermocouples to find out the real operating conditions. It was found that for the maximum temperature for manifold and the Air duct at the Conditions for maximum fuelling and maximum speed, the Plastic Manifold and Air duct can withstand the optimum temperature and also maximum temperature.
