The Entrepreneurial Readiness on Mushroom-Based Business among Rural Community in Kedah

Abstract

This study aims to identify the level of readiness among rural community in mushroom-based plantation. The level of readiness among rural community in mushroom-based business in state of Kedah can be identified through several indicators. The indicators include entrepreneurship attitude readiness, learning readiness, entrepreneurship desire as well as entrepreneurial thinking aspects. The respondents are chosen from felda community in Kedah northern region branch. Questionnaires were distributed to the participant in order to measure the readiness level on mushroom-based business. Then data was analyzed using SPSS version 22.The result of this program found that participants have high percentage of readiness to involve in mushroom cultivation business. The result also indicate that more and more potential entrepreneurs among the rural community should be exposed and could betrained to improve their standard of living beside employment opportunities, especially among youth in felda.
