This paper presents mainly three major applications of smart traffic control system like automated sig-nal light module, stolen vehicle detection, and emergency vehicle clearance system. First, the system will set the green signal ON, when an ambulance approaches the junction, for this it uses CC2500, PIC18F4550 and Digi XBee Pro S2C modules for wireless communication between an ambulance and traffic controller. Second, the system will detect the theft vehicle and sends a message to the nearby traffic control room and the centralized database server using SIM900 GSM module for SMS notification and emergency booking. Finally, an automated light signal mod-ule for smooth running of emergency vehicles, where all vehicles have Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag, RFID card reader and PIC18F4550 chip is installed to each individual vehicle identification. The system setup mod-el has been tested in various input combinations and experimental results have been achieved as expected and it is presented.
