Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Controllers for Automatic Generation Control of Power System

This paper aims to study and design an Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) based controller for solving the Automatic Generation Control (AGS) problem and compare the result with Fuzzy logic controllers and conventional controllers such as PI and PID. Two area power system with an interconnected tie line is considered with respective loads. The system is subjected to a sudden load change and is simulated in Matlab/Simulink with all controllers and obtained zero steady state error with different dynamic and transient characteristics.
