In the modernized period of innovation, the system availability in production industry places a top level of status. Availability of a system works based on maintainability and reliability. In this study, we proposed an availability analysis of serial procedures in the Snacks Food Production System (SFPS) of a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) plant. The SFPS comprise of five sub-systems: in feed conveyor, heat exchanger, fryer machines, cooling conveyor, seasoning machines. These subsystems are orchestrated in parallel and series combination. The performance of these systems is analyzed by mathematical modeling with the utilization of mnemonic rule and Chapman-Kolmogorov differential equations are gotten from the transition diagram. These differential equations are illuminated by utilizing Markov model with normalizing conditions to process the availability under steady state condition. At long last, the performance of each sub-system has been examined for choosing the most optimal main-tenance techniques in the plant. The result of this paper will be exceptionally valuable to the plant organization to upgrade the system performance by embracing the most ideal maintenance procedures.
