A Study on Semantic Web Service Algorithms

S. Anu Priya
Abstract

Semantic web is developed for contextual search and to provide meaningful results. User queries submitted to the web search engines are not always informative enough for retrieving the related pages according to the user intention. Search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and AltaVista etc. always perform indexing search using the keyword given by the user. Most of the time, the results are not relevant to the expectation of the user and also it provides irrelevant links as search results. In this project, a detailed study of existing semantic web technologies and the respective algorithms are reviewed. As a result, a new and effective algorithm will be developed. In this semantic web, the two algorithms used are Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) and Latent Semantic Analysis (LSA). The LSI algorithm does not provide convincing results for web search engines and takes more time to search. It also takes much computation time for searching. To overcome these disadvantages, a new algorithm which enables the user to get search results with exact meaning and also with less amount of time is developed.
