Main objective of environmental optimal power flow problem is to optimize a chosen objective function (e.g., generators fuel cost) taking into consideration the emission issue along with non-smooth generator fuel cost functions by optimal adjustment of the power system control variables and at the same time satisfying certain system operating conditions (e.g., inequality constraints & power flow equations). In this paper, a genetic algorithm has been used for solving a multi-objective environmental power flow optimization problem for an IEEE 30 bus system.
