The study aims to examine the reasons for turnover intention among the labor associated with decentralized power loom sector in northern karnataka region in India. The research is carried out in the four major power loom hubs of North Karnataka namely, Belgaum, Bagalkot, Gadag, Koppal and Haveri. The survey was conducted on 400 labors working in the sector via a questionnaire. The data was subjected to partial least squares structural equation modeling (sem-pls) to find the factors influencing turnover intention. The results indicate that organizational practices, job security, compensation benefits, perceived job alternatives outside industry, perceived job alternatives within industry, and anxiety had a significant relationship with turnover intention. The identified factors can be focused by the power loom owners to manage their employee attitudes and thereby improve their productivity.
