Abstract

In watermarking, the patent protection technology expected at asserting intellectual property rights of digital images by embedding a patent identifier in to the content of digital media to prove ownership, protect the integrity, validity and security. The wavelet based watermarking is gaining more popularity because of its similarity with the human visual system. The proposed method describes imperceptibility and robust of the combined Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) digital image watermarking. The color image is transformed into non-overlapping multi-resolution sub-bands with ‘Haar’ which is simple, symmetric and orthogonal wavelet. The proposed embedding process, the watermark is embedded in the modification of the extraordinary values of DCT selected sub-bands (HH and HL) to the watermarking scheme which admirable preserves the quality. The performance evolution shows that the method is better imperceptibility and robustness such as flipping and rotation.
