Automation of recognizing the speaker voice is greatly done by automatic speaker recognition by the base of particular speech signal characteristics. Optimal neural network techniques are mainly utilized in speaker recognition. Communication mode between human are comfortably done by speech. Hence text-dependent and the text-independent methods are speaker recognition task. These help to make identification and control process over services like voice dialling, banking by telephone, telephone shopping, database access services, information services, voice mail and in addition security control are carried for confidential information areas, and remote access to computers. Speaker recognition process inclusive of its features of speech signals are exposed here in this work. The fundamentals of automatic speaker recognition, concerning speaker modeling, feature extraction, and classification techniques are depicted here.
