Effect Of Treatment With Ashing On The Sorption Properties Of Pyrolysis Product Of Rubber Waste

Abstract

In this paper investigated the properties of a potential sorption material, which was obtained by pyrolysis from crushed wastes of used automobile tires and treated with "dry" ashing.The moisture content and bulk density of solid products of pyrolysis of carbon-containing wastes are studied.The parameters of aqueous extract and the content of heavy metals are determined. The adsorption capacity of pyrolysis products by methylene blue on a spectrophotometer UNICO 2800 and iodine by the titrimetric method was studied. The sorption properties of pyrolysis products of carbon-containing wastes after treatment of ashing with respect to iron, copper, chromium, nickel and zinc ions under static conditions using atomic-emission spectrometry with inductively coupled plasma on the spectrometer Agilent 720-OES are studied.The degree of sorption to heavy metal ions is calculated. For comparison, data on commercial coal sorbent BAU and the degree of sorption of solid pyrolysis product of rubber waste without treatment.It has been established that after treatment with "dry" ashing for the pyrolysis product of rubber waste the sorption capacity with respect to iron, copper and chromium ions increases. The degree of purification from heavy metal ions: Fe, Cu, Cr using solid pyrolysis product of rubber waste after treatment with ashing is: 36.1-99.5%. A rather high sorption capacity with respect to iron, copper and chromium ions in comparison with BAU coal showed the pyrolysis product of rubber waste after treatment with "dry" ashing.This treatment allows increasing the sorption capacity of the solid product of pyrolysis of rubber waste by Fe ions 9.5 times, Cu - 1.8 times, Cr - 1.4 times.
