The results of the study of passage of a mixture that related with radio impulse and narrow-band noise through a frequency detector has been examined. It is shown that, the signal at the output of the frequency detector and the absence of a signal are significantly different. The obtained differences can be successfully used as an information sign for the detection of a useful signal in a mixture of signal and noise at low signal-to-noise ratios. The possibility from the using of the research results to create two-channel receiving devices with increased noise immunity is shown.
