Effect of Gold Nanoparticles on Dynamic Electro-optic Properties of Acrylate Liquid Crystal Polymers

Abstract

In this paper, we studied the electro-optical properties of acrylate liquid crystal polymer when adding the gold nanoparticles (Ag) to it. Acrylate liquid crystal polymers molecular weight. The electro-optical properties of liquid crystal acrylate consist of acrylate and is centered on molecular weight. Polymers after taking five different molecular weights from the acrylate crystal polymer and adding a fixed percentage of the gold nanoparticles (Ag) to it. The acrylate series is based on liquid crystalline polymers with a side chain on low molecular weight. This study shows the electro-optical properties of polymers with different molecular weights. Add gold nanoparticles (Ag) to the polymer leads to greater contrast in the insulators and thus less time. We have used the infrared spectrometer to determine the order parameter for the liquid crystal with the side chain. The directional order parameter (S) depend on the different molecular weights, the temperature and the voltage the threshold.
