Abstract

A Newtonian fluid with viscous nature, heat generating/absorbing and electrically conducting with laminar flow is considered. The velocity and skin friction profiles are investigated considering thermodynamic influences of the fluid in the existence of radiation with fluid flowing on a continuously inclined permeable moving plate embedded in a uniform porous medium. As Schmidt number increases, the velocity decreases in the presence of fixed porosity, magnetic intensity, Prandtl parameter and Grashoff indicator. When the absorption of the heat increases, there is not much change in the velocity profiles for higher Schmidt numbers. But for lower Schmidt number, the velocity increases as hear absorption increases. Similarly for constant Schmidt number, the velocity decreases as porosity increases and velocity increases as heat absorption parameter increases. The study of skin friction is also done along with other factors. The influence of heat absorption parameter and radiation parameter is found to be more significant on skin friction
