Signal detection using Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) algorithms, basically with Gibbs Sampler is applied to Multiple Input Multiple output (MIMO) systems. In this paper, the performance of the MCMC based detector is improved by introducing a relaxation factor. The performance of the proposed algorithm is analysed for large antenna system with different modulation schemes for different signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Analysis is also performed for finding the optimal relaxation factor for different SNR with varying number of iterations.
