Determinants Influencing to Smart City

Nguyen Thi Ngan and Bui Huy Khoi

In recent years, scientists have many types of research on smart city development solutions. However, the scientific arguments for the answers are still open, especially the quantitative model of the factors affecting the development of smart cities from the perspective of the people. Therefore, identifying an appropriate quantitative model based on economic theory and empirical evidence is a challenge posed to policy researchers. Our research team collected data on 362 people in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to find practical evidence for the model. The content of the article focuses on two main issues: the theoretical framework of the quantitative model and the application results for a building smart city model. The factors in the model were tested by the reliability and validity of the scale. Analysis results of the PLS-SEM model show that the Smart city is affected by six factors.
