The paper addresses the problem of training of personnel in the field of aviation who provide legal support for the ІСÐО formal procedures. It defines the concept of aviation legal risk management as an integral part of civil aviation safety control. The article defines the category of legal risk in aviation, gives a definition of this concept, and specifies the main elements and components of this category. It also offers for discussion introduction of the aviation risk management category and further areas of study.
