An Implementation of Modified Branch Bound and Dynamic Source Routing Protocol in MANET

Mobile Adhoc network is composed of arbitrarily arranged nodes without any infrastructure. MANET has several protocols, Dynamic Source routing (DSR) protocol is one among them. DSR is an On-demand source initiated protocol. Due to the arbitrary nature of the nodes, energy consumption may too high to regulate and organize the nodes. DSR protocol is enhanced in order to reduce packet loss, congestion, energy consumption and improve the throughput, packet delivery ratio (PDR). BB algorithm is used in this DSR protocol to find the optimal path. In this paper, Modify Dynamic Source Routing protocol with BB is compared with existing protocols to check the improved efficiency of the enhanced protocol. Several performance metrics were taken for the comparison. From the observation of performance metrics, observed that the proposed algorithm performs well.
