Back-to-Back Switch Connected NPC Multilevel Inverter FED IM Drive

Abstract

A back-to-back switch connected NPC multilevel inverter fed induction motor drive is presented in this paper. A Neutral point clamping Inverter Topology with a reconfiguration method was developed which can compensate the faults of switching device and reduce the voltage stress on the switch. The Proposed method also focuses on achieving the reconfiguration method at high power rating applications by connecting NPC multilevel Inverter to Induction motor drive. This paper was implemented in MATLAB/SIMLINK software.
