For generating clean energy that is without polluting the environment, energy generated from solar, wind, hydro, geothermal are considered as they are renewable energy sources. The electricity generation by utilizing PV cells and wind turbine are increasing rapidly. Now-a- days as variable speed operation is preferred DFIG is used. The rotor side of the generator is utilized by using the stator currents to control the stator power. At the grid, a closed loop of current is given to the power transfer and for the voltage regulation of the dc link. A sliding mode control (SMC) is enforced with wind turbine systems at different operating conditions for controlling the power. In this paper, the PV module is connected across the capacitor for power quality improvement and for increasing the power.
