The main objective of this paper is the synthesis of the control part using the Internal Model Controller (IMC) technique of a Variable Speed-Wind Energy Conversion System VS-WECS based on DFIG to master the powers exchange with the utility Grid. To do this, we modelled the different VS-WECS entities using Per Unit representation. Then, we applied IMC technique to design the two regulators of the mechanical part (MPPT algorithm and Pitch control), and the controllers of the electrical part (Back to Back Converter controls). This work provides an easy way of adjusting the parameters of the regulators, and provides some robustification regulators especially with respect to external disturbances. The synthesized controllers are simulated and tested in the Matlab- Simulink environment.
