An efficient quality management system contributes to the sustainable development of the organization in the market environment, relying on the process-based approach to management implemented "through the prism of risks and opportunities" of the organization. The risk management mechanism in the organization’s quality management system (QMS) relying on the process-based approach and the concept of risk-based thinking, established by the ISO 9001 and ISO 31000 standards, is considered in the article.
