Mirza Ibrahim Ali Baig and Dr.P. Mary Jeyanthi
Abstract

Gears are an important and necessary element in our daily life. They exist in the satellites that we communicate with, bicycles and automobiles we travel with. Gears get around for centuries and their sizes, shapes and uses are unlimited. In most of our history these gears have been comprehended only functionally. Specifically, the ways the gears transmit power as well as the size they require anticipated transmitting that power went well known for several years. It wasn’t until recently that human beings began to use engineering and mathematics more accurately and securely design these gears. These gears are mostly utilized due to their aptness over transferring power among unparallel shafts at about any speed or angle. Spiral bevel gears are generally employed in various power transmission systems owing to its significant technical advantages. Due to backlash, time- fluctuating mesh stiffness, and various other nonlinear features, gear transmission system generates complex dynamic behavior that has aroused wide interest from scholars worldwide. The objective of this work is to grant the extensive knowledge of static and dynamic analysis of bevel gear.
