The relevance of this study is related to the need to generate data on the presence in the respondents’ subconscious of a homogeneous non-representative sample of visual symbols as cultural codes. Previously, the authors conducted a sociological survey with a sample of 603 respondents among students, the results of which were verified through a mathematical and statistical study. The next stage was a study aimed at explaining the results of the survey, conducted by the method of focus groups, which involved 12 volunteers from the same youth environment. As a result of the study, the authors compiled a dictionary of cultural codes. The dictionary was further developed through a study conducted by the method of in-depth interview, the results of which are discussed in the materials of this paper.
