Every Manufacturing process has a critical and a complex part which is testing. Out of different testing process Functional test is the final Gateway in manufacturing process to evaluate the efficiency of the product for which it was designed. Test automation plays a vital role in overcoming this criticality and to increases test coverage area, reduces the “time to market†and human made errors. This paper presents Industrial based Automated Test Equipment (ATE) to measure the efficiency of the Switched Mode Power Supplies (SMPS). The Whole Implemented based on graphical programming language using LabVIEW developed by National Instruments Co. Data acquisition and manipulation is carried out by myDAQ which provides quick results to validate the SMPS. The main advantages of this automated system are ability to provide quick measurement results, lower human error , ability to generate the test report in excel sheet automatically, Diagnose the issues automatically and Reduces man power.
