In this letter a compact ultra-wideband two-element MIMO antenna is presented with single band rejection characteristics at 4 – 6 GHz spectrum. The triangular slot deformity ground structure is employed and the CPW feed configuration is used for the proposed antenna. The inverted L-shaped slots etched in the ground plane and the extended rectangular stubs to the radiating element improves the notch band performance. The orthogonal orientation of radiating elements along with the triangular DGS forms the MIMO antenna configuration. The measured results are compared with the simulation results and the proposed antenna is operated in ultra-wideband with band rejection facility in 4 - 6 GHz band supporting the interference due to C-band and WLAN applications. Moreover, this antenna is exhibiting good inter-port isolation performance. This antenna can be better suited for UWB polarization diversity applications.
