A fake report is produced by the malicious node and it confuses the routing also. In the proposed work, a clustered OSPF network will detect as well as eliminate the malicious node by calculating the number of dropped packets by malicious node. Nodes grouped together and forms cluster. Cluster head is chosen by means of the metric distance between the nodes. The communication between the nodes is monitored by the clustered head. Cluster head informs the other nodes about the malicious node and it is eliminated from the network.
