Trainer Stand Instructional Media of Wiring System for Kijang Car to Improve Student Achievement in Vocational Higher Education

Abstract

The objectives of the Study are: (1) to find out how the development of instructional media of wiring system for kijang 3K car to improve the student achievement; (2) to find out the feasibility of developing instructional media of wiring system for kijang 3K car to improve the student achievement; (3) to find out a student achievement toward instructional media of wiring system for kijang 3K car. This Study Used R and D (Research and Development) Approach: The subjects of this study are 3rd-semester students Automotive Engineering Education Department at the Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo in academic year 2016/2017, which consist of 58 consists of control class "A" 29 students and experiment class "B" 29 students. Data collection was done by using questionnaire method and test instrument. After the data obtained then analyzed using descriptive analysis technique. Results of the Study were shown that: (1) development procedures of instructional media of wiring system for kijang 3K car covering potential problem search, data collection, product design, design validation, design improvement, product trial, product testing, product trial and revision test; (2) trainer stand instructional media of wiring system for kijang 3K car feasible to be used. (3) trainer stand instructional media are made effective to improve learning outcomes students. The results of this study can be used as a reference teacher in the development of learning media in the field of vocational education.
