A Study on Employee Preference to Stay with Non-Listed it Firms in Chennai

Abstract

Employee retention is the most required necessity for the growth of an organization. In this competitive market, retaining skilled manpower is the asset for a company. Companies have to come up with ideas for retaining their resources. Employees preference to stay in an organization is based on various factors. This study is to focus on the demographic factors like Gender, Work Experience in the current role, overall work experience, type of employment and department. The sample is collected from the Chennai region from non-listed IT companies. The study is to provide knowledge on the significance affecting the employees to prefer to stay and work in the current organization. This will help in generating revenue and growth. In Chennai non-listed IT companies have no global role and have no shares in the market. But, they have a team of employees who work for the growth of the company and face high pressure of managing the employees and retaining them with the available benefits competing with big established companies. The study is focused on the various demographic attributes, and projects the type of employees who choose to stay with non-listed IT firms, portraying the segment of manpower who are ready to join them and stay with them for a certain period for mutual growth. The study is to understand the association and impact of the factors with decisions of such employees.
