This study aimed to develop a Volunteering Management System (VMS) for Effat University that facilitate the students or staff members to manage the volunteering work effectively since all kinds of activities and events happen all the time. Volunteering Management system is a web-based system which contains list of all the activities and that can be accessed by remote users (students) concurrently from anywhere in the campus. In this system, students and faculties can access and view any of the information regarding the volunteering opportunities. The system provides separate interface for staff members, students and the admin. Staff member can announce a volunteering opportunity, and the interested students can send requests for applying. On receiving the request, the server processes it and extracts the data from the database and sends the result back to the staff member. Therefore, the admin can manage the system. Faculty members can post new opportunities by a one-click process. Students can view the list of opportunities with related details online. From this system, the university can generate reports that can be used in analyzing the student engagement and performance in community service. Thus, the management can take steps to support the students and motivate them to do their best.
