Abstract

Kids begin to learn new things at a very young age mainly by visualization. However, it is well-known that kids easily lose their concentration after a short period of time. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop an interactive game based learning for toddlers. Five topics which are colors, shapes, animals, alphabets and numbers were made into a 3 level games. This user-friendly game was built in Macromedia Flash 5. For each of the games, the difficulty increases as the game progressed and at the third level, the toddler’s understanding of the subject is tested. This simple interactive multimedia game for toddlers is believed to help in early stage learning.
