A quality electrical power supply must be available at all times, always within the frequency and magnitude tolerance limits, and always with a perfectly sinusoidal waveform. A reliable, efficient and safe power supply is essential for guaranteeing productivity and precision in any organisation. Energy and power quality audit helps in energy cost optimization, pollution control, safety aspects and suggests the method to improve the operating and maintenance practices of the system. The most of the energy saving is possible without any investment, just by modifications and proper tuning without affecting the manufacturing processes. The Power Quality Audit (PQA), is a service offered to checks the reliability, efficiency and safety of an organization’s electrical system. The main objective of this paper is to evaluate use of energy in manufacturing industry and determine the opportunities for energy saving with energy efficient equipment's or techniques has to be adopt in industry to make industry more energy efficient through energy audit.
