A topology of three phase two 6-pulse ac-dc converter is proposed to satisfy the strict regulations on the power efficiency of aircraft and spaceships. This topology consists of an injection circuit, linked to two six-pulse converters in sequence. The major benefit of this converter is that the ac system absorbs the sinusoidal currents which have a harmonic content. A 12-pulse system, that is achieved by linking two six pulse converters in series with an addition of low harmonic injection current, may also attain the performance successes of a 24-pulse converter. Therefore this topology has a lower current component than conventional converter circuits. So this topology's efficiency assures low harmonic current absorption, and the simulated results are discussed.
